1940s Girl

Two cards in one day! I love this image of my 1940s girl! When I started to draw this girl I wasn't really sure what to do with her I had her face now what? Then I started thinking back to when I was a little girl watching old movies with my Mom. I especially liked the musicals with Ginger Rogers, Fred Astaire, Carmen Miranda and all the other talented dancers. My girl is wearing a hat that is a memory of mine from those movies, some were decorated very elaborately I kept mine pretty simple, but I think she's very sweet. I colored her using my prisma pencils, Cardstock, brads, oval dies and corner punch are all Stampin'Up. The fancy die is a Spellbinders and pattern paper was in my stash.   Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend! Val
