Snowman and Snowgirl pocket Weekend Freebie

Hi All! For my project I used the weekend Freebie digital stamp Snowman and Snow girl pocket from www.valsdigitaldesigns.com I printed the pocket onto white cardstock and cut it out. I then folded the tabs back and laid it on a second piece of white cardstock traced around it and cut it out and glued the tabs to it to make the back of the pocket. I colored the image with prisma pencils, drew the little blue snowflakes on with a prisma pencil then added some dots and white highlights with white acrylic paint. I added a packet and a candy cane inside the pocket for a cute stocking stuffer. Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a great Holiday. Merry Christmas Val

This weekends freebie at www.valsdigitaldesigns.com Is our Punky Boo With little snowman digital stamp. Snowboy Christmas Tree Ornament

Hi All! For today's project I have used the Weekend Freebie digital stamp from www.valsdigitaldesigns.com     Snow Boy. Instead of a card I decided to make this cute Christmas Tree Ornament. I had some round wooden circles left over from another project, they were already base coated with a light green acrylic paint so I decided why not make some ornaments. One reason why I love digital stamps is you can resize them to fit any project you are making. I printed him at 21/4 inches and it fit perfectly. I colored the image with my prisma pencils and then blushed his cheeks with chalk and then highlighted each check with a little dot of acrylic white paint. I also sprayed him lightly with a matte Krylon  spray. For the ornament I sponged over the light green with a white acrylic paint, then I mod podged the Snow Boy on  and then brushed mod podge over the whole front and back. After that dried I used a palate knife and applied some crafters snow around the edges and sprinkled glitter on while the snow was still wet. I also put some clear glue on three of the stripes on hat and sprinkled clear glitter on them. I really like the way the ornament turned out so much that I made a dozen of them to sell at an upcoming craft show! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend Val
